Of the many subdivisions of rugs that derive from Caucasian origin, for the Caucasus Mountains, Kazak is the largest. The rugs of the Transcaucasus region - woven using the Turkish symmetrical knot - they traditionally display strong geometric designs in rich, saturated primary colors often accompanied by celebrated figures, birds or flowers, or linear and sharp-cornered medallions. Famous for their remarkable bright blues, reds and ivories as well as their relaxed appearance and forthcoming character, the Kazak rugs can range from traditional to worldly and feature complex omnipresent designs or intricately decorated borders.
This Only One of a kind antique Kazak rug has amazing natural dyes and is just shining. Stunning colors and a great choice for floors or display. The change in color seen in the photo is abrash.
*Note: Photos taken under natural light and are part of the description as they reflect the true condition of the rug.
All of our hand-knotted rugs are professionally washed and treated. All rugs are individually inspected before leaving our warehouse.
