Khamseh rugs like this antique Khamseh Southwest Persian Bagface are greatly admired by rug experts for having fine craftsmanship and lustrous wool. Khamseh refers to a nomadic tribal group from Southwestern Iran. Similar to Qashqai, these rugs feature intricate geometric motifs as well as saturated color. This Antique Khamseh rug was made in Southwest Persia, and is made of natural hand-dyed wool. This lovely antique Persian Khamseh carpet measures 48” x 70 and is from 1920s-30s. It is in great condition with age effect visible in pictures.
